Freestyle International Ski World Cup

Skier gliding down a snowy slope on skis near Stein Eriksen Residences

The competitors will be racing their way down the same runs used during the 2002 Olympic Winter Games at Deer Valley. In fact, this year’s competition marks 25 years that Deer Valley Resort has hosted international and world competitions, including the 2002 Winter Olympics, World Cups, and World Championships.

The World Cup begins with the Mogul Competition, then moves on to the Aerial Competition, followed by the Dual Mogul Competition. Each day the events start in the afternoon and continue into the night under the lights at Deer Valley Resort. Immediately following the awards each night, viewers will be treated to a fireworks display at the Competition Venue. For the full schedule and location of each event, visit Deer Valley’s website.

Guests staying at Stein Collection properties during the event can take advantage of Park City’s free public transit down to the Snow Park area from the Silver Lake area. Or, if you are skiing in the morning, you can simply walk across the street, ski Deer Valley for the day, then ski down to Snow Park before they close the area for the competition.

If catching the event live isn’t possible for your itinerary, the FIS World Cup will be available on the Outside+ channel, NBC, and CNBC. Relax in the comfort of your room, order room service from 6 to 10 pm, and watch the competitors fly and twist their way down to the podium.

Don’t miss this annual event!
